Steve’s background comes from informational graphics and page design, leaning more towards the journalism side of things. With no formal art training, Steve started creating some art while working for various newspapers. He also has experience creating marketing and advertising art for various companies, from label expo organizers to architecture firms. While most of his art creations occur on the computer, he occasionally strays to canvas.

Steve’s inspiration comes from numerous places and artists, both past and present. A great deal of his art is inspired by vintage travel, propaganda and product art from the early 20th century and from the pulp art of the mid 20th century. You can see the inspiration take hold in some of his great pieces of art from his “Arcade Propaganda” line. Our favorite is the poster with the Frogger influence. Who doesn’t want to travel the solar system or join the fight against the villains of 1980′s arcade games?

There are a few more places and subjects that Steve would like to take on for his travel poster series.
