We received an amazing note and a few installation pictures the other day, from one of our customers, Kimberly. We love to feature some of our favorite work and give you more insight into the different ways customers use their LTLprints.

Kimberly wanted a mural that would cover her entire living room wall and make a large statement at the same time. The black and white image of the Brooklyn Bridge at Night, fit right into her room decor theme and motif. The only issue that Kimberly was worried about was the installation of such a larger piece! With some reassurance from the customer service team and all of our reviews about the ease of installation, Kimberly and her husband went for it.

“I couldn’t be happier with my purchase from LTL Prints,” said Kimberly. “Even before I received my mural, the customer service was timely and helpful and the mural arrived sooner than I had expected.  Upon opening the package, I’ll admit, I was a bit overwhelmed by a 14 foot mural that was all one piece.  My husband insisted we’d need help installing it, but I reminded him how all of the reviews said that installation was easy… so we got to work.”

“We were both shocked at just how easy it was!  My husband smoothed out the mural, as I peeled off the backing.  It literally went up in minutes; I’d say less than 5 minutes!  Before starting, I was concerned about how we would keep it level, but it wasn’t an issue at all.  We just made sure the end we started at was straight, and the rest just fell into place.  I am also quite pleased with the quality.  It definitely made a big statement on a very long, empty wall.  I would highly recommend LTL Prints, and will be purchasing from them again in the future!”

Steve’s background comes from informational graphics and page design, leaning more towards the journalism side of things. With no formal art training, Steve started creating some art while working for various newspapers. He also has experience creating marketing and advertising art for various companies, from label expo organizers to architecture firms. While most of his art creations occur on the computer, he occasionally strays to canvas.

Steve’s inspiration comes from numerous places and artists, both past and present. A great deal of his art is inspired by vintage travel, propaganda and product art from the early 20th century and from the pulp art of the mid 20th century. You can see the inspiration take hold in some of his great pieces of art from his “Arcade Propaganda” line. Our favorite is the poster with the Frogger influence. Who doesn’t want to travel the solar system or join the fight against the villains of 1980′s arcade games?

There are a few more places and subjects that Steve would like to take on for his travel poster series.
